        Dr. William P. O'Hanlon was born and raised in Wilmington, Delaware. He is proud to still call Wilmington his home. After graduating from St. Mary Magdalen in Wilmington Dr. O'Hanlon entered Concord High School. Dr. O'Hanlon credits Concord for inspiring him to want to become an educator.

      Dr. O'Hanlon has worked in numerous roles in both the private and public sector that include the Office of the Mayor of Wilmington James Baker, Union Park, Inc., and General Wesley Clark for President. He has worked with numerous public leaders in various roles. Dr. O'Hanlon continues to advise both political and community leaders. 

      Dr. O'Hanlon's background in education and teaching includes working with all types of students from basic level learning students to high performing students. He has also worked with students in grades 5-12 that with various degrees of emotional and behavioral issues. Dr. O'Hanlon has taught courses in Government, Economics, World History, Geography, United States History, Comparative Religions, Law in America, Politics, A.V.I.D.,  and College & Career Readiness. He has served  as a school administrator in the roles as a Dean of Students and Assistant Principal. He currently serves as the Public Information Officer for the Brandywine School District, which he is a proud product of. 

        Dr. O'Hanlon holds teaching certificates as an Teacher of Social Studies, Exceptional Children (Special Education), Business Education, and Principal/Assistant Principal. 

        Dr. O'Hanlon strongly believes in equality and opportunity for all. He is a firm believer in focusing greater attention on closing the opportunity gap and simply not just the achievement gap. His goal when working with students, teachers, and families: build strong relationships.

      He often quotes Maya Angelou by saying "people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but they will never forget how you made them feel."
